Year end special: Celebrity divorce announcements of 2021
Another year, another batch of celebrity breakups. Here are the major divorce announcements that made the headlines in 2021.
1. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao
The couple announced that they were splitting up with a statement on July 3 2021 after being married for 15 years. They further stated that, "The divorce is not an end but the start of a new journey." They went on to say that they will remain completely devoted parents to their children
2. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya
On October 2 Samantha and Naga Chaitanya took to Instagram to announce their separation after four years of marriage. The couple tied the knot in a grand ceremony in 2017 in Goa. For some time, there had been rumors about their troubled relationship. Their separation came as a huge shock to their fans.
3. Kirti Kulhari and Saahil Sehgal
Kirti Kulhari on April 1 Announced her separation with her husband via Instagram. The 'pink' actress' statement read "A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil Sehgal and I have decided to separate. Not on paper, but in life. A decision that's probably harder than the decision of being with somebody, because coming together is celebrated by everyone you care about"
4. Kate Bosworth and Michael Poilsh
On August 5 Kate announced her divorced from her husband after a marriage of seven years, on Instagram saying, "The beginning is often the best part of love. Fireworks, magnets, rebellion- The attraction .The onset signals a wide-open expanse of possibility."
Despite the split however Kate has suggested that the pair will continue to work together on upcoming films and other projects as the split was a healthy one.
These Celebrities didn't have a fairytale ending in 2021.The mayhem has already been extended to
2022 with Dhanush and Aiswaryaas recent divorce announcement. Let's hope this year brings a happy ending to all couples out there.
