What is the Assassin’s Creed: Assassins comics all about?

Running since 2007, with a universe having 12 mainline entries under its umbrella, the comics were sure to follow the legacy!

The Assassin's Creed franchise has been acclaimed by critics for its plot, aesthetics, art design, and innovation since its debut in 2007. There are twelve mainline entries and seventeen spinoffs in the series. There will probably be comic book adaptations, as with any famous series. A variety of comic book adaptations appear in Assassin's Creed. These adaptations introduce additional characters, stories, and historical settings that are not seen in the video games.

Assassin's Creed: Assassins, the first comic series of the franchise, was published by Titan Comics in 2015. The first issue, Assassin's Creed: Trial By Fire, is set in the late 17th century during the Salem witch trials, with a parallel modern-day story involving espionage. Charlotte de la Cruz is the protagonist of the story, who uses the Animus to travel back in time to 1692 in search of a Piece of Eden. A sinister plot is revealed thanks to her ancestor Tom Stoddard's memories; it turns out that Samuel Parris and William Stoughton are Templars who whit their power and influence have turned the village into their slaves, using the fear of witches to subdue anyone who opposes them.

The Setting Sun is the second comic in the series, and it takes place during the Inca Empire in the past, paralleling Erudito's modern-day plot. In this chapter, Charlotte discovers Erudito, a group of hackers who formerly worked against the Templars. Charlotte re-enters the Animus and travels back to Peru in 1536, during the rule of the Incan Empire, to get access to the network and obtain the help they require.

The final volume of the series is named Homecoming and it takes place in Florence during the early 16th century, running parallel with a modern-day story again featuring Erudito.Charlotte is introduced to the First Civilization by her grandmother. The Templars aim to release Juno, the god-like spirit that speaks to the player in Assassin's Creed II, it is stated to her. To counter this, Erudito intends to track down Consus, the creator of the Pieces of Eden and the only person capable of stopping the Templars' intentions.

While the series was expected to run for at least three years, Titan stated in 2016 that after the fourteenth issue, Assassins, along with its companion series, Templars, would be relaunched as a new title: Assassin's Creed: Uprising, with a new creative team.
