Often known as the father of manga, Osamu tezuka’s art style is all about range. From drawing cartoon-y characters to well detailed and realistic ones he exceled in storytelling through the world of comics. Tezuka was the pioneer of modern Japanese animation and manga. In his lifetime he created over 700 manga with more than 150,000 pages.
4. Frank Miller

Best known for The Dark Knight Returns, Frank Miller is an artist whose art focuses on a dark and film-noir style. Will Eisner is one of the greatest storytellers and rightly so. His art screams Volume as can be seen in his works like The Spirit. Eisner likes playing with the panels to create a window or using titles as a storytelling device. He did things that created a shift from the sequenced layouts. His ability to merge amazing art with great storytelling, is the reason why Eisner awards exist.
